Huskies are one of the things that causes my autism. The other ones are photography and outdoors (camping, hiking, and sleeping in tents.) Oh, and driving and cars in general. I'm a hopeless case. 😉

off my credit cards months ago and started to out food on them, too. I pray that nobody gets sick or needs to go to the dentist or needs new prescription glasses because it's impossible for me to pay for any of that anymore. Priority is food, the car, and mortgage while I can.

It feels like 3°F here right now. I rather go cold myself than let my kid freeze going to school. And im terrified of losing power, since it's becoming more and more difficult to keep up with bills. And I'm fully employed. But not even my paycheck is enough anymore. I stopped paying

I should have also mentioned that since my kid is almost as big as me even when they are still vet young, and since I couldn't afford buying them winter clothes their size, I've given them my winter clothes. I just put my hands inside my sleeves if I have to go out, or wear thinner gloves.

Yes, @parkroseperma.bsky.social Been worried for months. Been buying meat and such just for the kid. We adults are surviving on pasta, leftovers, a free turkey we got at a store, pizza, anything that we can stretch for days. Making a point to keep feeding my kid, not me.

If I had a nickel for every weird American idiom or quote that makes no sense, need a translation to plain English, or both. Just say things plainly and directly the way they should be said. Everybody's life would be so much easier and we'd understand each other easier.

I just remembered that Austrian guy who was obsessed with rebuilding Berlin with huge monuments, big stadiums, and destroy everything else in the process. Reminds me of a certain someone of present days. I wonder who.

they would gossip, talk badly about the rest of us behind our backs (especially about foreigners and immigrants,) and they were always on the defensive. Pretty much like the MAGA people from these days. I was so glad when the project came to an end and they laid them off.

Years ago, I was assigned to a safety project. They hired two retired nurses to help with the medical part of the project. They were the most awful people I've met in my life. They'd sabotage the work of those of us who were on the road all the time (they didn't travel while the rest of us did,)

Our dishwasher stopped working years ago. We never replaced it. We handwash everything.
We ended up buying more laundry detergent and such things from a store that would give you a free turkey if you spent more than $150 in one visit. We now have food for many days.

Didn't buy anything on Black Friday. Did buy a lot of things we normally buy but taking advantage of pre-sale prices ahead of Thanksgiving, which saved me a lot of money. But that was stuff we need and use regularly, like toothbrushes, laundry detergent, and such. Things we NEED and CAN'T afford.

But not when writing. Many of us are actually very eloquent and when I doubt, we just ask the person what they mean. It's also easier with our jobs. Our bosses know to send us a bullet list with clear expectations and deadlines. But we asked for that and they listened to us. I guess we're fortunate.
