I have a question; I was told (and sort of aware) that using .of(context) lookups is expensive (affecting UI build speed as the hierarchy is looked up upon each rebuild).
I’ve never really noticed a huge issue performance wise doing this but just wondered if you’ve seen performance issues too?

So Google has ‘alerts’ (which you’re right are email warnings) but I think you can also set ‘caps’ which stop API usage:

It might also be worth adding a budget limit to your billing & payment profile on Google Cloud Console against the project or API you’re working on lol 😜 😅

Google is very very generous when it comes to mistakes like this. If you contact billing enquiry support and explain the mistake they’ll very likely cancel the charge if it’s a one-off. 🤞🏻

I did something like this a few years back and they couldn’t have been more helpful 🙂
