So I real life went to a Scottish Highland event here in my state in 2019. Fairies, Elves, Unicorns, Dragons are very real. And before people go "Hehe no they're not" know this....The Scottish, who terrified the Vikings, are deeply afraid of the fair folk. In Viking/Norse culture Elves are Ljolsalfar or Dolkalfar. The Alfar are very real. Humans, in order to control and possibly reduce fear in the masses, have childified them.
