Information like age and gender is already disclosed about suspects charged with crimes. Disclosing the gender is not a judgement on whether a crime is more or less serious depending on if it is committed by a man or a woman, likewise it would not be a judgement to publish ethnicity &/or nationality

I don't have a strong opinion on this issue either way, but if this is the caliber of argument against it then the case against it seems pretty weak?

Isn't that already the case with the DM and Telegraph? Not really an argument against publishing the stats.

The claim that the Israeli government is ethnically cleansing the West Bank is somehow inaccurate or inflammatory is utterly insane.
Settlers routinely engage in murder and arson to get Palestinians to leave where theyโve living. Thatโs the textbook definition of ethnic cleansing.

The key difference is that emissions in Europe and even the USA have been declining for years, but not consistently - there are oscillations, like in this example - whereas emissions in India, etc are seeing continued growth to record levels.

The billionaire and the tax evading gift shops
Asif Aziz's Criterion Capital manages a row of high-profile shops at Piccadilly Circus. So why does his team keeping renting them to students who vanish without paying millions of pounds in taxes?

person locking their bike next to a multi-story apartment building. There are many already parked bikes on either side of them.
This is parking for people who live in my building (80 units). There are 60 bikes here, and 60 more on the other side.
Think about the space this saves.

Depends what you mean by few and far between, but it would certainly make sense that anything that can be charged at a lower speeds overnight will be, which will minimise the need for MW chargers.

Been working on this analysis of the US OBBBA this week. Core BNEF assumption is that the IRS follows the executive order to make the implementation of "FOEC" rules limiting Chinese content / subcomponents / intellectual property in new wind and solar projects almost impossible to meet.

If it's fast enough, then being the fastest doesn't matter.
H2 quick refuelling time wasn't enough to compete when BEV charging times were far worse, now that the difference is decreasing further it will matter even less.

"Lots of real criticisms to level (eg, not fast enough + trucks etc)" - honestly don't think this criticism could really be levelled at Norway. They've trod the cowpaths for everyone else, they've been transitioning in a way that is stable and predictable, and at the time far faster than anyone else

A screenshot of the Solaredge app showing solar power production and household energy consumption for the poster's house. Total electricity production over the day was 59.11 kWh, total consumption 21.38 kWh. By 15-minute intervals this doesn't perfectly match, but there is a long plateau of 1.5kW consumption between about 11am and 18:00 representing air conditioning load. The airconditioning is turned off before the solar production drops.
I really like running the airconditioning on solar power.
