I am not a programmer, but I do a bit of reverse engineering of malware. Sometimes I think having exposure to the 6502 growing up has significantly helped me all these decades later in my (very limited) RE work. If I hadn't grown up with a //e, I don't think I would even have tried to do this.

I struggle with fish sauce. I love ultra-umami taste it gives, but wow is it salty. Very easy to overdo for me.

I was a voracious reader of the TOS and TNG novels in the 1990s. It is astonishing how high the quality was from Pocket Books when they were publishing a novel a month for most of that decade.

It is. Still, for whatever reason, it always felt as an appendix to II to me. Something was just missing in Act III and in four decades I’ve never been able to fully put my finger on it.

I have a filter that looks for the word “unsubscribe” and moves it to a “Marketing?” folder. I get some false positives, but not many. Works well.

I’ve learned to respond, “Time is an ingredient in pizza.” :)
