I am not a programmer, but I do a bit of reverse engineering of malware. Sometimes I think having exposure to the 6502 growing up has significantly helped me all these decades later in my (very limited) RE work. If I hadn't grown up with a //e, I don't think I would even have tried to do this.

Wait...WAIT. I would like rights of first refusal to write the screenplay for this. Can I get a two-hour movie out of this?....absolutely! I trained for this! (Literally, I did....in film school what you just said would have been a common writing prompt.)

To me, it astonishing how well this painting communicated the vastness of the interior of the Borg ship.....even when we were watching in SD and on 13" TVs. :)

I miss AppleLink... that was the online service I most enjoyed. Glad I got to use it for three month before it flipped to AOL in..... I think the fall of 1990 (or 89?) if I remember right.

I struggle with fish sauce. I love ultra-umami taste it gives, but wow is it salty. Very easy to overdo for me.

I wonder if SNW were more serial rather than episodic in its approach if the whiplash would feel less abrupt.

I like that term, tonal whiplash. It is so jarring, even not watching one right after the other. How I miss 22-episode seasons to smooth things out.

I was a voracious reader of the TOS and TNG novels in the 1990s. It is astonishing how high the quality was from Pocket Books when they were publishing a novel a month for most of that decade.

It is. Still, for whatever reason, it always felt as an appendix to II to me. Something was just missing in Act III and in four decades Iβve never been able to fully put my finger on it.

Sound Warehouse. I have not thought about that store in decades. I also bought my first album there.....Starship's 1985 Knee Deep in the Hoopla. (Yeah, the one with We Built This City.) I was nine, so it is okay. :D
