I absolutely noticed this. It was one of the things I really enjoyed about the book. And it doesn't even matter what gender you assume they are - the story doesn't change. One of my favorite more recent reads too and started me on a binge of your books (I'm on Human Division now)

Sadly, in Australia, there's a bunch of people who love Trump and will happily wear red hats to go through immigration. Then there's the reasonable ones who are avoiding the US at all costs.

They had lawyers, trials, most were given pretrial release, allowed to testify in their own defense, got discovery, could call witnesses, could cross-examine witnesses, could present mitigation at sentencing, and had a right to appeal.

I had been looking forward to a nice Hawaiian holiday and then a nice long cruise back to Sydney, but then I was made aware of this case. I'm a purple haired genderqueer person. I'll just go to New Zealand instead.

Why would we go to the US parks and risk getting turned back at the border when we can go to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris or even Shanghai? Going to WDW is stupid expensive and that's a lot to gamble.

It's wild that the rest of the world is currently actively and successfully poaching the best US scientists and researchers. Like the US did with German scientists and engineers during WWII.

I was planning on a Hawaiian holiday and a trans Pacific cruise. I'm now doing a New Zealand holiday with a cruise back to Sydney. I'm not gambling a 25k holiday on whether a Trump loving border agent likes the look of me.

How's my day going? I was looking forward to some fresh baked bread to have with my soup for lunch.
