I have stopped shopping at Amazon, Walmart, Target and Sam’s Club and am trying to instead support local businesses. I started regular monthly donations to ACLU, Pro Publica, and the Texas Civil Rights Project. /3

I’m not sure about the New York Times, I have not canceled my subscription as of now. I have continued subscribing to my local newspapers to support local media. I am considering subscribing or providing regular donations to alternate news sources such as the Guardian and the Associated Press. /2

Been trying to figure out small concrete actions I can take to avoid feeling entirely helpless and sick to my stomach, and to try to increase the chance that I and my immediate family can hope to survive this mess. I canceled my subscriptions to Amazon Prime, Audible, and the Washington Post. /1
