@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social primary win gave us some much-needed hope in these darkest of times. But the vile hatred I’ve seen spewed since (by politicians, the NEWS MEDIA, social media) is a reminder that we must never get complacent.

When you stand for EQUAL RIGHTS for EVERYONE 🏳️‍⚧️🇵🇸🏳️‍🌈, when you UPLIFT others in times of need, and speak out when so many stay silent, you know you’re on the right side. LOVE & ACCEPTANCE is the 🔑🌈.

To those STILL 🤯 silent: WAKE the F*CK UP. ⚠️ Entire identities are under attack. We’re living in extremely dark & dangerous times.

✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻 The rights we have today exist because people FOUGHT and DIED for them. It’s on us to defend those rights, to reject any reversals, and to keep fighting for the equality we all deserve, beyond just what they’ve ‘rolled back’.

when people use our community to spread hate and justify their bigotry & Islamophobia under the guise of defending our rights (📰 see: “Pinkwashing : Weaponization of LGBTQ Rights”),
