If we don’t oppose Trump aggressively enough, we might lose our democracy. But if we oppose him too aggressively, we might lose something even more important: our norms.

Tips to keep democracy alive in 2025:
1. Be Brave. Avoid helpless/hopeless talk. Authoritarians want you to feel powerless because it makes their work easier. Courage, faith, and optimism are essential. Fascism feeds on cynicism and pessimism. Starve it.

I want to explain why 2024 could be at least as bad as 2016 online, probably worse.
It starts with understanding that Elon has succeed wildly with Twitter even though it's cost him and his allies $30 billion-ish to do it.
It's all about our attention -- and using it against us.
