I understand why we shut down American airspace for a few days after 9-11 to avoid a repeat attack but imagine shutting down American airspace to avoid releasing the Epstein files.

What’s the difference between knee jerk reaction and knee jerk polling?

07.11.2025 12:54 — 👍 34 🔁 8 💬 2 📌 0You’re inherently valuing dishonesty by pushing for change based on temporary lie based boosts.
Does everyone follow politics closely to know every issue intimately? No, of course not. Will people start to pay attention and notice big lies once issues start to affect them? Of course.
There was nothing knee-jerk about seeing huge problems with the Iraq war. Cheney had said it would be a disaster, they weren’t tied to 9/11, they weren’t providing clear evidence for cause.
That’s what some of the problem is with just flash polling on which party is doing the best advertising

Name a problem that people can see is real…..we have no guaranteed paid maternity leave and then be real squirmy of what the solution to that is. Problem is if it’s paid leave, democrats have fought for that, which leaves the question, what’s her actual solution if she’s claiming that’s not good.
