Line Five
Can you guess today's mystery transit route? A daily transit puzzle game.
iโve been playing this similar game for weeks and iโm getting very good at it! they have hundreds of other agencies including sound transit, community transit, kitsap transit, pierce transit, and washington state ferries line5.net/agencies

the east marginal bike path! i thought the buffered bike lanes that used to be there were pretty good and the money wouldโve been better spent elsewhere. i just rode it tonight and it is so incredibly lovely

it was tasty! but iโm still hungry after

three fried tacos with slaw and a jarritos
seattle is crazy cause what do you mean this is $25???

or we could, like, tax the rich and use that money to build new climate change resilient homes (or fund education, healthcare, road maintenance, transit service, or any number of other good things)

i will grant that it appears to be a marshy lake with a clear circle in the middle, but even then itโs not very square

zoomed in view of a long bolt with the nut only threaded halfway down
yeah this is insane

enjoying a cortado at monorail espresso and finding disappointingly named geographical features

a lake washington bike path would be an INSTANT success. there is so much latent demand for bicycling on that road
06.02.2026 04:38 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
the green lake outer loop bike path on aurora avenue. two lanes for bikes, protected from cars by jersey barriers
the path would have to go from madison st to seward park, and would make motorists go insane not being able to drive northbound on the lake, but i also think no one would care after the first couple months. jersey barriers would separate the path, like along aurora ave around greenlake
06.02.2026 04:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
i have to talk about this because a lake washington bike path could rival vancouverโs stanley park seawall or minneapolisโ bde maka ska in terms of tourist draw

my gravel bike (it has purple tires!) leaned against a log on the beach at seward park, with the lake, mercer island, skyway, and mount tahoma in the background
it was gorgeous! but stressful ๐ซ and i wish it was safe so i would go there more often
06.02.2026 04:17 โ ๐ 13 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1
biking down lake washington boulevard today from montlake to seward park had me thinking how much i wish for one lane of southbound car traffic and a fully protected bikeway on the lake side
06.02.2026 04:11 โ ๐ 11 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1
this spot is SO bad! iโve taken to using the crosswalk at boren if the timing works out, and then using the bus lane for the block up to melrose

yeah, interchange with the 1 line at seatac and then east to southcenter and renton? and of course the other end of this line goes to ballard, northgate, lake city, and bothell but thatโs just my fantasyland and does not work at all with actual sound transit network plans

my dream is that the highline will live again with an extended west seattle link line down to the airport via morgan jct, westwood, white center, and burienโฆ in like 30 years?

why did i have to learn that this existed ๐ญ i want a beachfront tram so bad except actually i donโt just give us a normal fucking bus

the size of this ride keeps impressing me - this is the second account iโve heard of an aggressive driver that i wasnโt anywhere near and had no idea about, and i was corking all over the ride all night

itโs a constant stream of honks coming down 2nd Ave. Iโve said it before and iโll say it again: Abolish ICE is the moderate position

itโs always fuck the police but seeing an SPD officer give a thumbs up to the ICE out demo downtown gives me the tiniest bit of hope?
30.01.2026 20:20 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
have you found any info about organized protests tomorrow? are any local unions involved? i see nothing on seattleindivisible.com, seattleprotests.org, or waisn.org. it feels silly for me to strike if thereโs no protest to go to
29.01.2026 19:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
thereโs some absolutely insane shit from the right wing of seattle city council in this thread! definitely worth a read

screenshot of strava segment โTriMet Code Violationโ which is a 0.49 mile section of MAX light rail guideway between downtown and the Tilikum Crossing
thereโs a strava segment for portlandโs version of this (they donโt have a downtown tunnel so an elevated guideway will have to suffice)

Portland should aim for a minimum 2% average annual growth rate. People already want to live in Portland, we just need to make it cheap and easy to build homes. ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฆซ
