a lake washington bike path would be an INSTANT success. there is so much latent demand for bicycling on that road

the green lake outer loop bike path on aurora avenue. two lanes for bikes, protected from cars by jersey barriers

the path would have to go from madison st to seward park, and would make motorists go insane not being able to drive northbound on the lake, but i also think no one would care after the first couple months. jersey barriers would separate the path, like along aurora ave around greenlake

i have to talk about this because a lake washington bike path could rival vancouver’s stanley park seawall or minneapolis’ bde maka ska in terms of tourist draw

my gravel bike (it has purple tires!) leaned against a log on the beach at seward park, with the lake, mercer island, skyway, and mount tahoma in the background

it was gorgeous! but stressful 😫 and i wish it was safe so i would go there more often

biking down lake washington boulevard today from montlake to seward park had me thinking how much i wish for one lane of southbound car traffic and a fully protected bikeway on the lake side

this spot is SO bad! i’ve taken to using the crosswalk at boren if the timing works out, and then using the bus lane for the block up to melrose

yeah, interchange with the 1 line at seatac and then east to southcenter and renton? and of course the other end of this line goes to ballard, northgate, lake city, and bothell but that’s just my fantasyland and does not work at all with actual sound transit network plans

my dream is that the highline will live again with an extended west seattle link line down to the airport via morgan jct, westwood, white center, and burien… in like 30 years?
