Half term treat for my son is a mini break to sunny Birmingham. Wildlife park was small, Cannon Hill Park is lovely with a great arts centre and cafe. Just rocked up at our £36 b&b and it's basic but essentially perfect. My son wants to move here! What we have seen is nice tho.

Not sure what your reading schedule is like but it's worth reading ALL his other works. I'm not an avid reader but I have read a lot of Vonnegut. The Sirens of Titan is one of my favourite novels and his short story collections are excellent and nice to dip in and out of.

Visiting a friend in Paris, in her neighbourhood their was a "Club de 100 kilos", founded in the 19th century, for those who ate well, lived well, and enjoyed being convivial. I don't think 100kg is a requirement nowadays.

Working shifts means I'm usually exempt from this back to work bs, however I have been off most of August and I start back tomorrow too. At least it's not til 4pm. Summer has been nice.
