A celebratory graphic with the heading, "Big win for breakfast! Government announces increased funding and more...". A child holding a banana and a juice carton is smiling, with doodled graphics to make it look like they are wearing a hard hat and a hi-vis jacket. Doodles of stars, breakfast foods, and a £1 coin scatter the page. The Magic Breakfast: Breakfast Powers Opportunity logo is in the bottom right corner.
We’re delighted to see @departmentforedu.bsky.social strengthen their breakfast club policy.🎉
⬆️ Funding rising from 60p to £1 per pupil + extra staffing support
🧡 Priority for schools in most disadvantaged areas
➡️ 500,000 more children will start the day with a nutritious breakfast
The image is split down the centre. On the left is a drawing of a child, holding a knife and fork, looking at an empty plate. Below him, text says, "Young Scots were promised universal school breakfasts". On the right is a drawing of the same child but this time holding a spoon and looking at a bowl full of cereal. Below him, text says "Now let's deliver". The Magic Breakfast: Breakfast Can't Wait campaign logo is at the bottom of the page.
Every child deserves a nourishing start to the school day. Yet thousands across Scotland still start their day, too hungry to learn. 🍽️
