I'm with you - I'd rather celebrate the organic good in our local reality than see people prop up contrived or overstated versions of the same.

Someone posted in that thread that the photo was from California last year, with receipts.

Losing My Perspicacity, February 5, 2026 How the Epstein list explains the fall of the Washington Post

β€œIt’s hard to imagine what version of reality these people live in, where no one is off limits, no one can ever really be canceled, no matter what they’ve done, where everything is a conflict of interest, so nothing is a conflict of interest.”

β€˜One officer told me that I "had no chance of returning to Minnesota" and that "the best thing for (me] is self-deportation." …
She offered me $2600 to self-deport.
I refused.
I wanted to talk to my attorney.
They didn't tell me the judge had already ordered my release and return to Minnesota.’

The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

Remember her name: Aliya Rahman

Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself.

It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did.

ICE MUST GO‼️

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.

If you're looking to understand how we're in such a quagmire with immigration policy enforcement, you should really really really read or listen to @vermontgmg.bsky.social 's testimony. CBP and ICE are fundamentally broken and have been trending this way for 20 years.

β€˜Mommy, why don’t you pick us up?’: Mother of Liam Conejo Ramos shares her story from hiding Liam and his father are currently being held by federal authorities in the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, an hour plus drive southwest of San Antonio.

In an interview with MPR News, Liam's mother gave an update on her son and her own safety. She said Liam asks again and again, β€œMommy, why don’t you pick us up?” Or β€œMommy, we don’t want to be here anymore. This place is ugly.”

Here is the User Guide for ELITE, the Tool Palantir Made for ICE 404 Media is publishing a version of the user guide for ELITE, which lets ICE bring up dossiers on individual people and provides a β€œconfidence score” of their address.

A manual for ICE's immigrant-targeting computer system, Palantir ELITE, was leaked today.

Let's look at it, then step back to evaluate how far we've come along a dangerous road and where that road might take us. 🧡

It's not just "stand up to ICE when you see them," it's building many vast networks of support and trust to
- create safe spaces
- protect schools
- get kids TO school
- check on neighbors
- deliver groceries
- help pay the rent
- let people know of danger
- feed the helpers, too!
- and on and on

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call β€œsymbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

This is one of the more astounding threads I've read about the judicial branch's efforts to undo ICE misconduct. Due process and the right of habeas corpus are things our ancestors fought for in the founding of our nation. Lose these rights and we will become a lesser nation.

Since July, I've tracked at least 2,300 cases in which federal judges have ruled ICE has illegally detained people without bond or due process.

This is one that stands out:
