It was the opposite of a hit job - it was a PR puff piece (aka free advert) and SEO link boost for his 'business'. It's a win win - he gets free advertising and a boost to his search rankings, PR company gets paid a fee, Sun gets free 'content' to fill their pages with on a slow news day.

Reform will deport people like me & millions of others who have lived here (legally with ILR) for years/ decades because we don't earn enough (even if we have in the past). That's not a rumour or hearsay: their clearly stated policy is to abolish ILR + deport anyone with ILR who doesn't 'contribute'

If he does live in another constituency, that would make his claim that he would be voting for Reform in the Caerphilly by-election untrue.

Fair enough. Although Reform only saying that he lives in "South Wales" does suggest he may not live in the constituency (surely they would readily say so if he did) and if that's the case, rather stretches the definition of 'neighbour'...

AI overview on Google says "Recent data indicates a significant shift in political alignment among young men in Britain, with Reform UK emerging as a popular choice, sometimes surpassing support for major parties like Labour and the Conservatives among this demographic."
Sources AI overview gives for this claim: a Tiktok video from the Guardian account and Matt Goodwins own Facebook post made today.
This is an ai overview from Google (Gemini) - the only sources / links given for this part of the summary are a May 2025 Guardian video on Tiktok and Matt Goodwin's own Facebook post from a few hours ago (!)

Percentage return over 5 years in GBP:
Bitcoin 68%, FTSE 100 index 59%, Lloyds Bank shares 190%, NatWest bank shares 263%, Barclays Bank shares 223%.
Over 5 years you would have been much better off investing your money into a UK bank* (*as in buying shares in a bank: Lloyds, NatWest, Barclays, rather than a deposit account - although if Bitcoin falls a lot further...who knows). Ironic, as wasn't "digital currency" supposed to replace banks /Β£?

Went to a fancy deli in London to buy a baguette with posh Spanish ham from pigs fed on acorns & they offered me a choice of 3 versions, depending on 'quality' of the ham. Can't remember the prices, but they were okay/ that's a bit pricey & F no I ain't paying that! Option 3 was still well under Β£18

Yes, 1 year average is just under -7%. While there might be a short term bounce in trust price if the holdings recover a bit, I don't see why anyone would buy a trust like this until it's clear that the 'style' is back in favour? Most of these holdings still don't look cheap given the uncertainties.
