Everytime someone talks about a tech optimist future Im gonna remember how in the last ten minutes Facebook fed me a screed claiming Taylor Swift is the greatest writer in History and then three posts about The Red Clay Strays Charlie Kirk song.

Louisiana has a different accent every hundred miles or so because we were settled top down by the English/Scots/Irish and the Gulf up by the French and Spanish with a shiiiiiiiiit ton of enslaved Caribbean and African folks mixed in.

I’m from NW Louisiana, Shreveport, damn near in East Texas and my accent is incredibly East Texas.

My spouse is from the New Orleans metro and while their accent is fairly neutral when they’re sober and not pissed my mother in law sounds like she’s from Brooklyn.

Sometimes all I write are vibes and that’s fine but I want to branch out a little and I’m not sure how.

I want to write about it but I find it hard to write about country music for some reason. Should it be criticism? Is it okay just to talk about how or why the album resonated? Especially when I don’t know any technical stuff or music theory?
