1/ Apparently, the employment tribunal in Darlington has turned into a circus πŸŽͺ yesterday.

Jo Phoenix, a criminologist known for targeting trans women in prisons and her links to hate groups, is giving expert evidence. The NHS Trust’s lawyer has just asked her a single question.

INF-2025-0114 Document for attachment (Lord Hodge interview communications).pdf

An FOI we've received shows the Supreme Court worked closely with The Times on Lord Hodge’s September interview. Court communications later described the reaction as β€œoverwhelmingly positive”. 1/

Can someone give me the exec summary of why Your Party has fresh transphobia allegations?

TIA

If Brianna was alive today, his government wouldn’t recognise her right to be herself. Can’t teach about people like her in school. Block her access to healthcare. Very soon stop her accessing women’s spaces.

Take her name out of your mouth. Your party is an enemy and direct threat to trans people

if the focus is on keeping a core group happy, at the expense of all of the others then I can't exactly support that approach?

on another note, I haven't experienced this level of racism - tolerated racism, *sponsored* racism since the 80s

So yay for ....progress?

Labour have leaned hard into the same - arresting peaceful protesters because it does not align to a political message? sounds awfully fascist to me.

The erosion of rights of vulnerable groups is clear, disabled, old, lgbt+ (of which @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social is absolutely complicit in)...

Yes... that because reform are far right and openly all of the bad things - the next rebranding of the national front, bnp and ukip.

The point here is not about how terrible they are, the point is how the window for be worse was open to Labour so they took it.

The point is *they didn't have to*

Mate. Get of your shout box, stop spitting at me and look inside for a second. I actually have no interest in your vitriol but it sure highlights fundamentally my original point pretty well.

At this point Labour are not distinctly different from the opposition.

My heart breaks for Brianna and her family.
The media have made those killers actions somehow no longer about the murder of a young, beautiful soul but instead a problem that isn't them.

How long before the common take is not of disgust but of it being somehow justifiable...

Oh, well I guess this wishlist and a bunch if government press releases have totally changed my mind.
Rent reform? Wasn't that diluted to appease big landlords?
Digital ID - what does this actually achieve?
I made no arguments but I suppose the no argument i didnt make was without merit.

But what do members want @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social ? I don't think members voted for Reform/Tory lite/ultra but here we are I guess?

Starmer has just ended, by dictatorial fiat, a harm-reduction policy that protected minority groups dating back to the murder of Stephen Lawrence, because he hates trans people.

Curious (not really but) thing is why there is still a large CON vote...

"I like my racism and discrimination of the more 'obfuscated' variety" perhaps...

Wage war on nature to build new homes: that’s Labour’s offer, but it’s a con trick | George Monbiot The government’s new planning bill is tearing down environmental protections to benefit developers. This nation of nature lovers won’t stand for it, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Today's column is about the government's huge, unprecedented assault on nature ... and about the eerie, astonishing silence of the big nature groups. The RSPB, National Trust, Wildlife Trusts have 7.5m members between them. A vast force, completely unmobilised. 🧡

This should concern everyone.

Protest is a cornerstone of our democracy - without it, we wouldn’t have the right to vote. We must protect it at all costs.

After years of the Tories attacking our right to protest, this Labour government should strengthen our rights, not restrict them even further.

Terror charge against Kneecap rapper cannot continue, court says The rapper told the crowd: "We will not be silent. We said we'd fight you in your court and we would win, and today we have".

Well well well. Someone who was in no way a terrorist, being charged with offences that are not real and what is the result? Totally not convicted of anything. Really weird that. Its like the while thing was made up or something...

Peaceful pro-Palestine protest: hundreds of arrests.

Violent anti-immigrant protest: 25 arrests.

And the violent people are the ones complaining about a two-tier justice system.

Instead, the government is prosecuting elderly, peaceful protesters. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

There is a sickness in the elected class.... and it's worse than the ones caught for the worst of literal crimes - it is believing in their own virtue when frankly all of this is so far away 'okay' but they are just too far gone to even recognise that

Two men have raped a Sikh woman, telling her "You don't belong in this country, get out."

This is where the dehumanisation of migrants and people of colour leads: the most serious physical and sexual violence.

Could we please stop pretending that the flags being hung from streetlamps or painted on roundabouts are innocent expressions of patriotic pride? This is the far right marking out its territory. It uses these flags to intimidate its traditional victims and opponents. 🧡1/3
