Here are the #BikeHfx accommodations during construction over the Almon bike lane. Note it is now a shared space with pedestrians. Still, excellent to see!

Hallowe'en is just around the corner and it is one of the most dangerous days for children. Here are some safety tips:

1) Avoid hitting children with your pickup truck, SUV or other motor vehicle. It is technically against the law to harm or kill a child with your vehicle and you could be charged.

It's still not obvious that there's bike space from that side. But if you know it's there, it's easy enough to roll on through

I’m working on a story about an event in #Halifax today. It’s becoming more frequent that I’m the only reporter at some events such at the recent town halls with Mayor Andy Fillmore. I really enjoy covering these stories. They’re produced by a real reporter (me) and not AI!

A street under construction. There is an excavator beside a large hole. There are pylons closing the street. Signage indicates "Street closed", "Sidewalk closed ahead. Cross here", and a pictograph of a shared bike/ bus lane. A small portion of the roadway furthest from construction activities has been lined with pylons as temporary bike lane.

Look at this! LOOK at this! Bike-specific construction mitigation on a designated local street bikeway!

I don't think I've seen anything of the sort anywhere in Halifax before?

Our #kidicalmasshfx ride today was a comedy of errors.

Our kidical mass season was uplifting, inspiring. One kid flexed his wings and ditched the parents to ride at the front of the mass. One kid went from a bike seat, to riding training wheels, to riding two wheels.

Representation really matters

I forgot my phone this morning so you'll just have to take my word that we had a beautiful #KidicalMassHFX ride in Bedford today. The fall colours are really poppin'! Lots of kids and their adults had costumes.

Big thanks to the organizers and volunteers for making this happen!

Oh this is a great point. From an end user perspective, this needs to exist. I think "official" permission will be hard to get (insurance? Fire marshall?) Because if something is going to go wrong with a battery, odds are it happens on charge

I loved wheel lights. I wish they were a little more durable, but I rode through absolutely everything that winter
