Love nature, hiking, cycling, cooking and of course mushrooms. I take pictures but far from being a photographer.

A juvenile reddish egret standing in shallow water, body facing right, looking straight down into the water, long daggerlike beak nearly perfectly vertical. This bird is very unusually colored; he has a pale chalky blue and tan back, steel blue undersides, a reddish neck, and dark green legs. His beak is light at the base but is mostly dark overall, and you can see a reflection of the tip of his beak. The water is calm and light blue.

Any maritimers here?

Livin' in the PNW and I had a craving for Halifax donairs for dinner. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Luckily Matty Matheson did up a recipe for the meat and sauce.

Damn it was good! Baked in a loaf pan and run through my meat slicer.

The NWT was very fruitful for lichen and slime mold. I had no idea. Was most of it growing on rocks?
