But he only went to Bowdoin.
07.11.2025 16:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0probably lot of non-nazi heritage staffers would love to work on the real thing for good wage and opportunity. this goes right to the heart of neo liberal outsourcing of competence and a functioning bureaucracy.
07.11.2025 16:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0oh yes, the lighter-than-air assertion that the DOMINANT position of a group i'm arguing with is stuck in the past. sounds like every sweaty incompetent manager I ever worked with.
trying to think of any policy implemented by Republicans in the last 30 years worth emulating...not worth the squeeze.

07.11.2025 01:00 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0yeah no sass or light sarcasm from cornyn makes it read: 'if reality were different, dems would fold'. he's an idiot but he isn't stupid.
06.11.2025 19:59 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was thinking the other day about that whole 'young gun' group from twenty years ago,I think a lot of them even lived in the same d.c. house. when the stakes were low they seemed ok, even interesting on occasion.
Today they all read like caricatures or just goofs.
Ackerman prob the only good one.
ok. what is wrong with the shell? the ones that vent are great. layers, layers,layers...
is it the suburban dad vibe?
my delusion is we are at least 10 years out from blexas, however Abbot is increasingly sounding like he is stroking out about something. I KNOW the audience for this stupid gruel but we are 6 months out from the start of crazy bigotry before the next election. just a wasted shot.

31.10.2025 19:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0 I live in Austin and we are having an overdue correction. 30% drop on my house and still way over what we bought at 8 years ago.
I spend a lot of time in MPLS and it is a perfectly tempered market. 500k can put you almost anywhere and 3-400 gets you pretty good.
can be very different, decent people but more than a few one degree removed from klan.

it often occurs to me that a LOT of this was due to MN being overwhelmingly white until recently and just a shift in racial and cultural makeup was not something they could process.
TX on the other hand has become more like a Colorado but with an unfortunate
there isn't so much intolerance as discomfort of others. my very liberal parents were often disturbed at the Somalis moving into the apartment down the street, Floyd protests made it worse. it's funny it never manifests itself in a negative way politically, they just kept on supporting refuge ...
28.10.2025 17:04 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0as a MN grown longtime TX resident the comparisons are wildly different but disconcertingly similar. MN has deeply rooted provincialism, even from people who grew up within physical sight of downtown MPLS /St Paul. family had longtime roots in Irish Cath Summit area. Cretin/St Thomas mafia etc...

despite it all really good texas bbq is quite good but really hard to find as even the best have a lot of off days.
pork makes better bbq anyways. pork steak at snow is freaking amazing
heb is fine but can be wildly inconsistent selection-wise. decent store brand stuff but it crowds out a lot of good outside brands.
central market on the other hand is incredible.
honestly probably the most relatable thing he has ever said.
