Yeah, my dad is very active. He walks several miles a day, and was jogging at a pretty speedy pace on hiking trails until he injured his knee a year prior.

And yes, a month before was worse than a month after.

My dad's knee replacement at ~70 left him extremely sore and weak for a couple days, but he was up and around after a couple days and was off ibuprofen within a week, I think. It took him a while to get to 100%, but he was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he recuperated.

Terminator, Terminator 2, and the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Everything else is trash.

And who lost to McConnell by more than 19.5 points, versus Alison Grimes who lost to McConnell by a little under 15.5 points while raising $19 million.

McGrath raised $94 million. (Yes, McConnell raised and spent more in 2020. But the money spent on McGrath didn't win Dems a seat.)

I'm very familiar with her background from when she ran in 2020. She was a terrible candidate who ran as a pro-Trump Dem and constantly flipped on important issues.

She's a professional candidate. That's it.

I can't stand grifters like she and Harrison.

Ehhhhhh. Fair use is a hell of a lot more limited than you'd think. The second there's the faintest whiff of money involved, it gets significantly trickier.

I've read far too many horror stories about cruise ships, with a sizable fraction involving uncontrollable diarrhea.

Hard pass.

Staff Pick(s)! Spread Me by Sarah Gailey is out now, and our booksellers have THOUGHTS!

Ryan says: "Spread Me by Sarah Gailey is a locked door of The Thing-esque horror with sexual tension pulsing and oozing through the cracks and rattling the doorknob. I inhaled it. I absorbed it. I lived and breathed it. I was infected by it. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it."

Kat says: "Listen. Kinsey tried really hard to separate herself from society. It's not her fault the really sexy virus found her, ok? I will read whatever Sarah Gailey writes forever."

Cait says: "This is absolutely bananas from the get-go. Forget strapping on your mask - there is no time to catch your breath before Sarah Gailey throws you, literally, ass-over-tea kettle into this freaky remote research station full of capital f-freaky scientists. Gross. Horny. Hot - literally and figuratively. INFECTIOUS. wink wink."

I googled the book, and this is one of the first results that popped up. You don't get reviews like this from the folks at Barnes and Noble.

I think you better check with actual constituents, face to face, and see what they think about this messaging. Because this is a mess.

He got his ticket punched on a college campus that stopped being a gun-free zone only four months prior while making a remark about gang violence in response to a question about gun violence.

South Park would get canceled for being that heavy handed.

As a parent, this is objectively the kind of thing that would prompt a somewhat sarcastic joke, promptly followed by that little throat clench that you never speak of to your children.

You have done well, Mr. Scalzi.
