We are still not evacuated and have electricity, fortunately, though the Eaton Fire is close and frightening. The smoke in the air is overwhelming—we just bought 2 air purifiers and strongly recommend doing the same. Hoping it helps. Stay safe, everyone.

Thank you Stylianos for mentioning our paper at the end of the year! So kind of you! Our aim here was to find which pathways at the post-implantation human development are similarly important as we knew from working with the mouse embryos and which are unique for human embryos success.

Working on the 'rejection' talk - I'm reminded that so many papers in CSN were, at one point, rejected... (wouldn't it be nice to have that data?!).

When you open your first lab you build it in a certain way but then as the years go by and your science or style of work change you're stuck with that structure, unless you move to another institute or something. How do you deal with this?
