No, he's a filthy dirty roads protestor, blocking traffic. He'll be breaking into Israeli arms depots before you know it. Standing in front of taxis is a gateway protest :)

Well yes. But I'd say that stealing from the pension fund is small fry compared to what she did.

He should start by at least disowning his sister.

right!

they allowed it, but it was never the right thing to do. I remember talking to someone on an easyjet flight who was DE/UK and he'd never had a UK passport even though he grew up in Manchester! he just didn't see any need.

I did everything I could to encourage the neighbour's cat to come say hi, but he preferred to stare from the safety of the spiky wall :)

Home Office denies β€˜absurd’ criticism over rule change that may leave dual nationals stranded MPs raise cases of honeymooners and other Britons caught out by new passport requirements as minister rejects calls for grace period

Very little sympathy here for dual nationals who never bothered getting their second passport and are now told they must have one to enter their second country.

I think it's more of a northern thing. I don’t think I ever knew anyone with a nickname.

But I did pull a cute skinhead guy in a bar in Manchester once who called himself Bunty!

Cute! He looks like Albee. He knows what will happen tomorrow. Will involve snoozing, for sure, followed by fighting with step sister, and maybe some zoomies :)

Congratulations! I know lots of people who worked in HF, and from what I can tell, a Betriebsrat is well overdue

I had this conversation with my dad, who was always a loyal Tory voter. He knew I disliked that.

One election day, he told me proudly that he'd not voted for them… he'd voted Ukip instead 🀦🏼

honestly surprised it took this long before a story like this came out. I was sure it was on the way. my friend told me if I was to visit, go via Ireland, so in order to clear customs there. But I won't be going. There are so many nicer places. I hear Iran is nice these days, for example :)

did anyone ask why the FBI director was even in Italy? Hasn't he got better things to do, such as running the FBI?

oh of course, he's in Trump's cabinet, so he's in it for the grift :/

I didn't read the story, but am curious how close he got. Did he try to show up in a small boat? 😳

You're a good mum! Mine wouldn't have baked me a cake and given it to me at midnight on my 18th birthday! πŸŽ‚

yeah, my parents were arguing about Labour abolishing assisted public school places (ie, gov grants so that poor parents can still send their kids to posh private schools).

my brother used the scheme, was bullied mercilessly for 6 years for being poor :(

I've never lived in an area where parties bother to canvas. I always wanted to have a doorstep argument. My parents did once, when I was young – in a (then) very Tory area, and my parents are very Tory. The Labour canvassers were sadly clueless and had no idea of policy.

Why does the fish & chip shop sell beef, pork and lamb, and the butchers sell fresh bread?

Why is the phone box so small, is it wallpapered with prostitutes' calling cards, and does it smell of piss? And has someone set fire to the phone directories yet? If not, they will soon!

honestly surprised they bother knocking on doors. There must be so much hostility. Better to let the BBC and the newspapers do their marketing for them :/
