For this, and many other reasons, I'm supporting Bell for Deputy Leader. While trade unions have been generally supportive of the ERB, members have also been clear that it doesn't go far enough. Bell is the best candidate to be the voice we need at the top of the Labour Party.

The idea that Mandelson can stay in post is ridiculous and I fail to understand why this is dragging on. The fact the association continued after Epstein's conviction should be the end of the discussion. Big questions then remain about the vetting process which allowed this past.

We must fight for our public services, support our trade unions, uphold our democratic principles, defend our Trans+ comrades, free Palestine, and show solidarity to Ukraine. I hope we can grow Mainstream into a place where we achieve this in collaboration with other Left groups.

And while I know it may seem naive, I think it is absolutely worth the effort, even if it's the last thing I do in Labour.

I share Mainstream's goals of:

- Taxing the wealth of the richest.
- Securing public ownership of utilities.
- Ending the two-child benefit limit.

I'm one of the 700 so far. Let's be honest, Labour has a lot to do to rebuild our trust. I've debated ending my membership many times, and I understand why people have. But I do want to try and build a vision of hope, as a principled Left, for meaningful change.

This comes at a time of seismic change in the overall landscape with the Green's leadership election, the creation of "Your Party", etc. But my main hope is still that, as the Left, we are able to be frank about where we differ and better collaborate on where we come together.

I have to say, I'm (cautiously) optimistic about this. I truly hope that this becomes an effective, democratic platform for those of us on the Left to organise around. Especially when we have felt completely abandoned by Labour and left without a political "home".

This is a national scandal caused by Wes Streeting. Months of anxiety for ICB staff, and we still have no idea who will have a job if / when this process can actually start. Our ICB's leadership team has been exceptional despite the mass uncertainty caused by this government.

Andrea understands what it is to be a member of UNISON, she listens to all of the different perspectives in our union, and has delivered for every one of us. This isn't just "politics", it's about enabling ALL of us to come together as members to fight for each other's rights.

As a young, queer trade unionist I strongly feel that the best chance of having our voices heard lies with Andrea. Please read the manifesto and consider how it aligns with your own experiences.

I have no doubt that, with Andrea Egan, UNISON will continue to evolve into the member led union we desperately need. Andrea will champion our union's democratically decided values and deliver for all of our Equalities groups.

One Day ... Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This.

These steps won’t end the slaughter alone, but that doesn’t make them any less urgent. I strongly disagreed with the UK’s preconditions for recognising the state of Palestine, but even if I hadn’t, surely this plan shows a blatant dismissal of the very idea of those conditions.

This must not happen. The UK must immediately and unconditionally recognise the state of Palestine. There needs to be further sanctions on ultra-nationalists, and a total end of arm sales to Israel (i.e. those still continuing via indirect means etc).
