Why isn't this question and, now, unfortunate fact being addressed. How are we supposed to "come together" and live in all the different ways that we do, when one group is openly threatening and currently acting on these threats that strip basic rights from groups that they don't deem deserving?

I'm confused about one point that I don't see anyone addressing in many (rhetorical) arguments about how to move past the "divisiveness" of this moment in history:

What if one group is openly threatening the rights of another/other groups to live as they wish in peace?

Fascism occurs twice: first as the tragedy of a Second World War started by men who fought the First and knowingly chose slaughter, then as the farce of an ignorant draft dodger trying to provoke a war against his own people.

If any other president said something like this in a speech to a military academy, it would be a massive scandal. Instead, it isn’t among the ten most dangerous things he’s done this week.
