What do the Poilievre Conservatives mean when they say they want to push back on "woke ideology"? That's a very good question with no answers from them.
If Trump and Smith offer any lessons, here's what we can expect from an anti-woke agenda in Canada.

βDr. Mark Joffe held the top public health position in Alberta since late 2022. He resigned April 15.β
So this wasnβt just a routine end of contract as it was initially spun.
Not hard to imagine this resignation was a result of being silenced.

28.03.2025 20:24 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chart showing tax savings of $0 on income up to $16,129 (the basic personal amount below which you pay no tax federally) then rising linearly to $412.46 under the Liberal plan and $928.04 under the Conservative plan at an income of $57,375 (the cutoff of the current 15% tax bracket.) Savings are flat beyond that but the horizontal axis only goes to $100,000 in income. The fine print at the bottom reads: "Calculations assumes individual has no other tax credits. It's not pictured on this chart but the savings will also increase β slightly β under both plans for higher incomes, starting above $177,882 (because the basic personal amount starts declining beyond that.) At incomes of $253,414 and above (where the decline in basic personal amount stops), the Conservative savings max out at $963.83 and the Liberal savings max out at $428.37."
The lowest federal income-tax bracket is currently 15%.
The Liberals have promised to cut it to 14%.
The Conservatives have promised to cut it to 12.75%.
Here's a chart depicting how much less tax that would mean for you, depending on your income.

Albertaβs Premier is already howling at Carney to call an immediate election.

Just a reminder. This year's snow pack is behind last year's. We barely had enough water in our watersheds to service Southern Alberta's needs last year. The only reason we had a crop was because of some timely rains. We're dry now, we need some moisture soon. #drought25 #waterislife

As you can see, it is NOT a public inquiry.
While there is a line about any elected official, member of a minister's staff, any member of the Alberta Public Service, it seems framed around Alberta Health and AHS.
Seems pretty odd to me to appoint this "third party" review under the Govt Organization Act when a govt of the same political stripe appointed the Allen Inquiry on the alleged "foreign funding of anti-Alberta energy campaigns" under the Inquiries Act.
