This weekend, anti-gov protests were scheduled across Canada. Influemcers/organizers expected *thousands*, based on enthusiasm online.
Yeah, no.
There were about a dozen.
Sad.

Why this is allowed to persist is beyond me. These workers have no rights, because to exercise them would mean going back home in a huge amount of debt.
Our labour laws do not apply for those on MLIA. These employers are subverting the law every day in every city. "Immigration reps" are helping too.

Not sure how it works in other communities, but talk to any Indian on an MLIA and they will tell you about this. It is rampant. They are paying employers 30-60000 to sponsor them. When they get here, they are exploited and threatened. There is no recourse.
