My bonus son got me this apron for Christmas, along with a bunch of other kitchen stuff. I spend a lot of time baking and send him home with leftovers. He heard me say I needed an apron. ❤️

Are there any Florida Elder Law lawyers out there who can give me a little guidance?
I have cried every single day for weeks. I don’t want to lose my dad to this evil, gold-digging woman. He needs medical treatment.

I am at a loss as to what I should do about my dad. I want to call FL Adult Protective Services because she is stealing his money and he hasn’t seen a dr in 2 yrs. He has advanced Alzheimers. But I don’t want to lose him forever. Why does he love her? She’s evil.

Leaving for FL this morning. I wrapped all the Christmas gifts last night while Ron kept telling me I had to be in bed by midnight. 😁 Am I gonna lose my glass slipper and turn into a scullery maid? I’m going to miss my Pari so much.
And Ron. I’ll miss him too.

I had such a huge crush on him when I was a girl. ❤️

This is my happy place. I spend most of my time in here. There’s a big bay window where the cat sits when the Christmas tree isn’t there, a farm across the road. I leave for FL Mon to help my dad. I’m sitting in here praying for grace and guidance. I’ll miss home and Ron. 😑

My dad has Alzheimers and his wife is a monster. There. I said it. She moved him to Florida 6 mos ago to get him away from my sister and I so we can’t interfere. Fuck that. I leave Monday. EIGHT MOVES IN 3 YEARS. No medical trmt. No meds. No care AT ALL. I. AM. DONE.

My beautiful, nutty, funny, somewhat dysfunctional, very loving, very loved family at Thanksgiving at our home. My Dad’s last one with all of us as he has Alzheimers and can no longer travel. My kids are still out west. Our brother died 5/17/23, mom 4/2/04. ❤️❤️

MRI today to see how much more of my spine osteoporosis has eaten. Woke up 3 wks ago with dreaded lymphedema so moved rings to rt ring finger. They will NOT come off. I was so happy to hear they don’t have to be cut off if they aren’t magnetic. Fuck cancer.

At Menards and I holler “Hey Papa, look at this.”
He’s talking to a guy he knows and I hear “It’s not a sexy thing. The dog calls me Papa.”

Me (for the umpteenth time): Honey, please wash the dog food off the spoon.

Him: Sure!

Me (later): What’s all this crap in sink?

Him: I rinsed the spoon like you asked.

Family is everything. My beautiful daughter and cherished partner. Oh, and our beloved chihuahuas.

How is my baby boy in his 30s? Heading to CA (home sweet home) to visit him soon. Miss him so much.

65th birthday dinner last weekend and he won’t let me forget I’m officially “elderly”.
Age is just a state of mind!
