Funny how this year I was denied a COVID vax as Type 1 diabetes is no longer within the list of conditions, and I seem to have spent 2 weeks off work in December with an URTI caused by a “nasty virus”, and I’m still coughing and breathless 🤔

The lack of political will and honesty directly leads to public suspicion of the EU, and consequently will make it harder to build public consensus to support rejoining. I mean, they can't even include the Brexit referendum in the inquiry into foreign interference in UK politics/elections ffs 🤦‍♂️

I’m quite frankly appalled and will not be voting Labour (or this “version“ of it) again. They will be losing far more votes to Greens/LibDems/Plaid/SNP than they ever would to RefUK Ltd or the Tories. This immigration policy will become the longest political suicide note in history

Instead of some proportion from much of the British media class, we are treated to the tragicomic absurdity of a former British prime minister willing to admonish the national broadcaster and demand the resignation of its Director General, all in the name of defending Donald Trump's reputation for truth-telling. But it's worse than that- it is a textbook example of how populists win. We have the ridiculous carnival of Donald Trump and Boris Johnson, of all people, admonishing the BBC for its lack of integrity. And they can get away with it, because no-one expects anything from them and yet we expect everything from the people and places who actually give a damn.

This is a genuinely intolerable reality…

I think there’s a big distinction to make between BBC News/Current Affairs and their sport/drama/documentary etc output. The former I stopped watching a few years back due to blatant RW bias (ironically given recent events), the rest is still worth defending and highly regarded
