Was there any specific written rule aside from the variant? I couldn’t find a mention of it, but the example character sheets both had it filled in as 10 and 12 but couldn’t figure out where those numbers came from

Karl, my first #KINLESS character. On his second round of hunting, found a MOOSE while equipped with only his axe and furs.

He sustained minor bumps, landed one axe hit, then fumbled while defending, destroying his furs. After one last desperate axe swing, the moose trampled him to a bloody pulp.

Googling the model number and factory reset may help.. essentially hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds and the leds should change (maybe power light blinks) then let go and try logging in to the web interface to re-set it up. This was just one google result- www.asus.com/support/faq/....
