Isn't this the industry that told everyone for an entire decade or more to "just learn to code"?

We are rapidly approaching the Luddite uprising / Butlerian Jihad for AI because the grifters peddling it are transparently contemptuous of actual skilled labor. You think people who have invested their whole lives in a profession are just going to walk away?

Definitely the most aesthetically pleasing, imo, and they also encourage brevity!

Anyway, when all of this started, I kept saying that you have to always look at these new technologies through the contempt that the tech world has for labor, and their campaign to destroy anything they can get their hands on for a bit more money. Human deskilling, not flourishing, is their goal.

Reading Yahweh as the evil demiurge is one particular strand of gnosticism (that is evidently antisemitic) but as far as I know it doesn't extend to all who were labeled as such. Nor does it mean the orthodox position was free from antisemitism

Agree that it's wrongheaded to idealize the gnostics, but to be fair gnosticism is an ambiguous label exclusively applied by antagonistic proto-orthodox writers as a broad pejorative against outsiders, and thus there is no real "gnostic" cosmology as such. This is just locally applied Neoplatonism
