Teenagers are old enough to have sex with middle aged men. They are not old enough to be trans.

A student writes in Varsity - the Cambridge University student newspaper - to condemn the founding of a new anti-trans student group.

Unlike the CUSW launch - which was disproportionately covered by UK transphobic right-wing press - I suspect this article will be ignored! 😣

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

Your policy also appears to be one of posting articles that highlight negative information related to transgender people while not posting the vast majority of articles that are supportive of trans-people and/or gender affirming medical care. This choice is β€œweighing in” whether you admit it or not.

Tax Day Is Met With Tea Parties (Published 2009)

Here's a gift link to the New York Times' coverage of the initial Tea Party rallies in April 2009 which inspired the media to treat it like a massive movement.

Check out how tiny the crowds were:

Philly: 200
DC: "several hundred"
Boston: 500
Austin: 1,000
Houston: 2,000

In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.

"30-year-old conservative lawyer and activist who is Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Special Counsel, which deals with federal employee whistleblower complaints and discrimination" cancelled his colleague's hotel room so she would be forced to stay with him.

The hypothetical that should have been asked was one of a therapist who uses conversion therapy to make somebody gay or trans. Would the Supreme Court consider this protected free speech? If not, why not? Does viewpoint discrimination only work in one direction?

I’m curious as to why no lawyer ran through a hypothetical of a therapist/counselor who wants to use conversion therapy to help somebody become gay or transgender. Would the Supreme Court also consider that free speech? If not, why not? Does viewpoint discrimination only apply in one direction?

Australian report says UK’s Cass review should not guide transgender healthcare QNews LGBTIQA+ News

If I were an investigative journalist in the UK (are there any left?), I would be having a good look at the extent to which NHS leadership seems to have allied itself with a fringe medical movement that more or less condones conversion therapy. qnews.com.au/australian-r...

At a time when some use the language of feminism to attack trans rights, it’s vital to see feminist activists and scholars counteract such attacks. Feminist Legal Studies is inviting papers for a special issue that will explore how feminist goals and trans liberation are connected. Check it out.

In the 80’s more than 70% of Americans opposed gay marriage & in the 60’s a majority of Americans supported racial segregation. Perhaps important decisions regarding medical care for trans youth should be left to patients, their families & their medical teams not the public/politicians/reporters.

Author of reviews of gender affirming care decries β€˜egregious misuse’ of the findings to justify bans Gordon Guyatt, a co-author of systematic reviews of gender-affirming care, calls use of the findings to justify banning care "egregious."

Curiously, when you hear Guyatt explain himself it doesn’t sound tortured at all. He is quite clear about his support for gender affirming care. www.statnews.com/2025/09/22/e...

To those asking, the NHS has misused gender care waiting lists to target families with social services referrals - and even police action - for doing something lawful, and in much of the world entirely orthodox, out of love for their child. It's ideologically driven targeting by the State and evil.

Cass Sunstein is old without insight; his ideas are stale & shallow. I have met him & he is just as I sufferable in person. Read the full interview- it shows him in his glory. Sad how quickly he seems willing to compromise on the human rights of others (his own rights of course are never at risk)
