My sense is that #inclusion is being misunderstood atm. It's not about expecting everyone to fit into a one size fits all system then adjusting when they don't. It's about creating an environment that includes everyone through making adjustments ahead of time. Start by thinking about the outliers. πŸ™πŸ»

This thing where some people are claiming that SEND is 'over diagnosed' because of 'pushy parents' or just = 'bad behaviour'. Perhaps they could tell our SENCOs who put in endless hours completing the paperwork to help children get a much needed diagnosis? πŸ˜’πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Belonging is not a β€œnice to have” Belonging is not built by chance. It is shaped by inclusive leadership, culturally responsive teaching, and relationships rooted in trust. A culture of belonging isn’t built by policy it is built by people, especially those in leadership.
