How are you? It's been an age!

Professional water nerd, recovering policy wonk, collector and connector of good humans and holder of important conversations. Hello.
How are you? It's been an age!
19.02.2026 09:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love.
19.02.2026 09:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Federal police raided Dissent Bar in Canberra and stripped anti-fascist posters off the walls under Labor's brand new hate speech laws. Not a Nazi compound. A local cafΓ© with political art. This is what biased laws look like in practice. π§΅
19.02.2026 06:14 β π 595 π 261 π¬ 44 π 20Thank you for that shot of vitamin sea
19.02.2026 09:17 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ohh! I had no idea it was you!
18.02.2026 21:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Maybe. If people in bsk are mostly in agreement with him, he will learn more on X.
It honestly makes sense: whose votes does he need to win? That's the discourse he needs to study.
Oh yeah. That's me with my neck. Wait, let me check if that noise was OK. Yep, we're fine. Just the combo of hypermobility & an old hyperextention injury.
18.02.2026 11:06 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh my, she's properly inside now! How did this happen, Abla?
18.02.2026 11:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Donβt forget, when Pauline drops racist bombshells into the media for everyone to react to, sheβs now being funded by Gina Rinehart, major contributor to racist propaganda group Advance and inspired by MAGA-guru Steve βflood the zone with bullshitβ Bannon.
The offence is the point.
...ie. It wasn't education that Capitalism commodified, it was accreditation.
18.02.2026 08:29 β π 86 π 5 π¬ 2 π 0Totally just anecdote, but the grad on rotation in my team CANNOT think critically or connect ideas for herself. She's terrified of being wrong & thinks AI searches the internet for the right answer. Next to useless & highly frustrating.

18.02.2026 03:37 β π 9 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0Huh.
I'd love some deeper analysis of this. How is "liberal" defined? Were they testing policy positions, or just perceptions & self-labeling?
Always good to engage with information that challenges my social bubble and biases.
The effort to carry a rug up or jig it across! Madness!
Great effort, lads.

Guidelines for autoimmune life: do food prep when you DO have the energy for it, so you can nourish yourself when you don't. Good nutrition helps prevent & recover from crashes.

One Nation are saying this is another Liam Hall with the same year of birth, address as of 2025 and remarkable physical similarity.
Until a credible news source confirms - Iβll just say they scrubbed the page prior to the suppression order being lifted
This is the WA fragment bomb terrorist.
This is what the suppression order was intended to hide.
PHON have scrubbed their site, but the wayback machine cache holds the truth.
What are structural factors?
+ access
+ safety
+ affordability
+ time
+ support structures
+ cultural inclusions/exclusions
+ etc.
... now please pass the brain bleach.
Eww.
But also, how about addressing the structural barriers to eating well and getting exercise? That's what actual governing is about.
We know the GOP has zero interest in governance (just power). Push where change is possible: #auspol, state govt, councils, schools, communities.
If we have to go back to 1970s era chip fab, 8 bit/16 bit architectures and many orders of magnitude smaller address spaces, I am ready. We donβt have to concede all computing to the winner takes all model of enforced AI centralisation and paying rent for every aspect of information in daily life.

Stopped for coffee after gym @ local roastery-cafe & had an excellent convo w. barista on complexity, AI, higher ed, information fragmentation & social change. Gave me hope & some new ideas & perspectives.
Then biked home in π sun.
That goes quite some way to explaining his lawyers fighting for suppression. PHON pushing to hide the connection. Grim.

17.02.2026 21:08 β π 3 π 3 π¬ 3 π 0As a suburban public housing kid I couldnβt afford uni in the 2000s, but I at least could afford TAFE as it was only a couple of grand for the year, covered by a payment plan and Aus Study. The same TAFE course is now beyond the reach of a Centrelink payment, even if you live with your parents.
17.02.2026 22:02 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0These fights are everywhere. My work tried to make a tertiary qual mandatory for roles above a set band, preventing merit-based progress from our trades sector without people finding a way to manage study & work (money, time, responsibilities...). My boss came through trades path: we pushed back.
17.02.2026 22:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We also need these pathways to protect the social contract. People need to see that talent + hard work can change the world. People without hope become destructive, keener to tear down a clearly unjust system regardless of what replaces it. We must learn from what's happened in the USA.
17.02.2026 22:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I scraped through uni living below the poverty line, balancing study with work. I couldn't afford field subjects, my books were 2nd hand, my clothes were patched.
Closing access to higher ed entrenches inequality & narrows our capabilities. We need diverse expertise to collectively flourish.
