Coming from a professional musician who started late and had to grind mechanics for a large portion of my adult life and made the same mistakes... Getting stuck in the mechanics brain in performance mode will get ya killed lol

I would be concerned with the coaching if they really, as stated, telling him to focus on the "mechanics and leg whip motion" when game planning as opposed to the actual fucking plays and reads

This is what I thought with my teacher/coach brain... I wouldn't want to tear down fundamentals mid-season, because you don't get a lot of time or reps to make your corrections into habit.

The run game this year has only improved wrt the scheme. It's still pretty bad and very boom or bust. The booms are just so much higher now because they are schematically sound

I would be fine with another tackle who could maybe play guard or moving the MAGA tackle inside if his knee disintegrates again (which it kinda looked like in the first half this week)

I really want to keep this backfield together and see what it looks like with a real right guard. But we all know one of them is gone after this season so JS can create a new roster crisis to solve
