Does it run into the issues Enterprise had (and Discovery before the burn) where they awkwardly bump up against canon and it's hard to make it work properly, or do they do their own thing?

One day I'm going to get a month sub for Paramount plus and see what all the fuss is about (I think I watched season 1 but then I didn't have the ability to watch it after that. I heard there is an avenue Q esque episode and a lower decks crossover episode?

Used to tape stuff all the time in the old days, but apart from doctor who (which doesn't suffer from ads) and Rick and Morty, I don't watch anything else on old skool TV, so I'll just have to suffer the ads I guess! At least I can mute it! Non targeted ads just seem so old fashioned!

Thankfully I was spared that as I had to watch it on BBC2 like a pauper. In 2025 I'm just cursing that E4 outbid Netflix for new Rick and Morty so I have to watch pricks dancing on the beach drinking alcopiss before and after every ad break on All4 instead of just clicking and watching it properly.

Saw a guy driving a brand new 25 plate Tesla, smoking a cigarette. Strange enough seeing anyone smoking (mainly see vapists these days) but this guy was in an EV, but tapping a ciggie out of the window like it's the 80s. I guess a 25 plate Tesla means he's attracted to self-destructive behaviour.

They say AI is going to take over the world but when I ask Alexa to "add pain au chocolat to my shopping list" she repeats it back to me as Pain. Gold. Chocolate. Presumably because Au is the symbol for gold.

Our 15 year old still likes the (big basket) swing and do so I, so I'm hoping his younger brother has a few more years of liking it yet. Already had to take the slide off it because they are both too big for that now, *sniff*. (If the older one sat at top of slide his legs would be at the bottom!)
