Today marks both World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day.

Today, the Chancellor announced some brilliant new initiatives to deliver a renewed economy for a renewed Britain.

This Labour government will put an end to long-term youth unemployment, deliver a library in every primary school in England, roll out the Youth Experience Scheme and much more.

It was great visiting Basingstoke Academy of Dancing last Saturday!

It was fantastic to watch some brilliant students in action and hear about the wide range of ages and abilities taking part. We also spoke about the many mental and physical benefits of dance, and the challenges the school faces.

All the best to the Red Roses this afternoon against Canada – it's been a brilliant tournament with games played in 8 English cities

I am proud to be joining the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme. Basingstoke has a strong link to our Armed Forces, with many serving personnel, reservists & veterans here.

She went to her GP 20 times before her cancer was detected by a private doctor. By then it was stage 4. She was 27.
