You know a country by its values. By what a country values. And it turns out that what a country values can change over time. these epstein emails are pretty damning. i sure hope that we haven't spent the last couple years in a cultural backslide where men are seemingly allowed to openly and gleefully fantasize about dominating young women without any threat of reproach

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

A fun exercise is thinking about how far down the presidential line of succession you'd have to go before you find someone who isn't involved in committing or covering up the most heinous crimes known to man. You have to impeach everyone until you get there
