I appreciate your feedback on how I can more effectively communicate scientific consensus on the effects of parents' placing conditions, such as athletic achievement, on love. I'll continue to work on it, as science is only useful if it's communicated widely. Peace be with you as well!

"Why aren't young people protesting?"

Considerβ€”because they all got their shit rocked by police and prosecutors last year trying to stop a genocide, and you abandoned them.

It’s like saying β€œdesegregation now!” was a bad catch phrase. Well yeah it was scary to a lot of people and faced a lot of resistance and backlash, and even moderates were initially freaked out by the demand to reorder their society, does that make the demand wrong *or* ineffective? Nope nope nope.

This information came straight from the family. No speculation involved. You can even see videos if you don't believe print. And there's mountains of evidence supporting the harmful effects of such behavior. I'm not sure why this is controversial but underatand your perspective. Please take care!

Labor Department Official Warns That Staff Who Speak With Journalists Face β€œSerious Legal Consequences” Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s chief of staff issued the warning as department employees have spoken to the news media about harms they see resulting from the dismantling of their agency,…

β€œIt’s very chilling,” a Labor Department employee who requested anonymity for fear of retribution told ProPublica. β€œIt’s never a good look when you’re telling people to never talk about what you’re doing.”

Not sure if you've noticed, but all of this is extremely public. I do have a doctorate in family therapy, so my statement was not judgment; it was pointing out the extreme harm that such abuse causes. I have nothing but compassion for the whole family and hope that they can access effective support.

Deion Sanders Says He Ranks His Children, Doesn't Love Them All The Same Deion Sanders loves competition. So much so that he even pits his kids against each other. Here are the latest power rankings.

He "loves" them, all right. But he makes them compete for it and makes sure they know it, going as far as publicly ranking them. I can only imagine what Shedeur is going through after this very public humiliation, undoubtedly a failure in his father's eyes.

At this juncture I’d like to point out:
* we’re on the brink of a golden age of medical healing
* there’s enough money in the world to solve every problem in the world
* a united approach could stop the climate crisis
But a small group of sociopaths seeking personal power are going to throw it away.

Elon Musk has called for Amtrak and the Postal Service to be privatized.

Be warned: this is a call to gut essential public services to pad corporate profits.

Here are my 5 rules of thumb for when public services should NOT be privatized.

Call me old fashioned, but methinks a United States Attorney jawboning a law school to change their curriculum is a bit authoritarian and a problem under National Rifle Association of America v. Vullo.

There have never been kings in America. The monarchy doesn't start now.

Words no longer have meaning. The folks who refuse to lead with love for some reason don't even know the meaning of words like "pronoun" and acronyms like "DEI," yet they seem to be immensely triggered by them. What is the psychological phenomenon behind it?

I humbly disagree, but I think that people (on both sides of the political spectrum) like name-calling and shouting. What I think we need are progressives who don't just assume that most people inherently understand the need for progressive policies. That's where I think the disconnect could be.

Louisiana coerced unhoused people into an unheated warehouse – and paid $17.5m for it Dozens of New Orleanians were bused to a site with insufficient heating and blankets days before the city is to host the Super Bowl

In preparation for today’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, state police forced over 100 homeless men and women onto buses under threat of arrest, dumping them in an unheated warehouse. Tents destroyed, belongings lost. Press are barred from the warehouse.

The price tag for this cruelty? $17.5 million

Don’t just say DEI as if it’s a bad word. Spell it out.

Say diversity, which is the lifeblood of American society & culture & innovation.

Say equity, which a just society should pursue.

Say inclusion, because decent people believe in increasing belonging, not isolating people who are different.
