There are households round here who have a massive SUV each, a car for each kid, a sporty car for fun and a £60k campervan for occasional weekends away. They don't need reduced fuel duty to make ends meet, and it's the wrong tool to help those who ARE struggling financially. Just raise their incomes

How about providing transport alternatives rather than subsidising fuel costs for people who can pay £800 a month to rent their Land Rovers?

Amazing to hear how much discussion there is over dangerous "e-bike" riding (usually always electric motorbikes) compared to the amount of discussion over the constant dangerous driving everyone encounters daily.

It's so normalised we don't see it any more.

It’s huge news, it really is and so needed.

It’s a massive challenge though and at a time when it’s never been harder to cycle / walk, particularly outside of Oxford.

Yeah I think these are good points - the road is certainly wide enough to encourage bad overtakes. I usually get under passed too when I cut into Culham to get off that road.

It’s a busy road for sure and peak time is horrific.

Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet has voted to go forward with a consultation on a congestion charge for Oxford. The six-week consultation will start later this month, for a Cabinet decision after the summer, and the congestion charge potentially going live in the autumn.

It’s interesting this is the view point - I cycle on this road (not the high cycle path that is too busy / narrow) and I don’t think it’s that bad compared to a lot of other roads. Maybe it’s just it’s too busy / high / narrow.

Thanks Anthony. We are going to go, looks really good. Is there a better station to park at in your view or has more static trains to look at? (As I take the diesels will go up and down the line?)

This is right, as these users use roads, pavements, cycle lanes without restriction to deliver the fast food.

However we need caution, TVP and even MPs are too quick to categorise all bikes as “dangerous”.

Of course cars are waving there at us, killing us everyday?
