Well I for one am certain black folks around the world have been waiting with bated breath for my nuanced, well-informed opinion to finally close the book on this centuries old cultural conversation.

You can pinpoint the exact moment he fell off and it’s when Sally Menke, his editor, died suddenly and tragically.

At the end when Raines says “I think this just might be my masterpiece” you can hear QT saying it. And you know, just this once, Quentin was right. Sometimes an artist can find the power to use all their bullshit for good, maybe in spite of themselves.

And hilariously they’re far less nuanced than DBZ, which makes the argument again and again that power level is a dumb metric used by idiots who don’t understand the true nature of skill.

They didn’t, the camera ops just adjusted exposure and white balance. You can tell because a bunch of the highlights are clipped (looking like solid colors)

And of course everyone adjusted exposure too so it just looks the same but the highlights are blown out, some walls look purple, and the reporters are backlit. It’s just gonna look like a twitch stream.

Every day. Every hour. Every minute. I’m right there, locked in: making sure my washing machine is getting my whites their whitest.

A follow-on to think about: you mentioned elsewhere that this has meant more time going to kids sporting events. While you’re undeniably physically present, are you mentally/emotionally there?

I think the real question is: is productivity a means or an end? And is what you’re giving up (time to unwind, opportunities for genuine collaboration, collective problem solving, gained mastery of your craft) worth what these things give back?

You’ve happened on a really apt metaphor for maladaptive behavior. No one should spend a moment of their life worrying that the dishwasher isn’t getting enough sauce off their plates.

Sounds like a lot of people with addictive tendencies turning themselves into middle micromanagers in order to satisfy a collective dream wish of infinite productivity to no actual justifiable end.

This seems like a great time to remind California residents that they legally have to remove you from their database if you tell them too.

Obviously nothing stops them from not complying but the litigation with the CA AG won’t be cheap.

I would simply go to General Mill’s house, ask him for a box of Cheerios, give him the money, thank him for his service, and leave.

Real estate is a direct to consumer business where traditionally a property owner sells the property to a customer. This works because there is one item, the property, on one location where both the owner and the consumer exist. Please explain how this model works for Cheerios.
