Who else can they legitimately count on? Murphy? The NH sens?

22.01.2026 21:34 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs the weird thing. Itβs not that much closer to the source material! They both deviate in baffling ways, just edge of tomorrow is genuinely a better film.
22.01.2026 01:06 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agreed. Aside from the art, I donβt think this movie does anything particularly well that Edge of Tomorrow doesnβt do better. The only thing I hate after watching it recently is Tom Cruiseβs awful smile. Watch the last scene of Edge of Tomorrow just to feel some awful cringe.

21.01.2026 19:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think Quebec universities are really leading the charge on a lot of this stuff too. Havenβt seen much of an equivalent outside Quebec except maybe a bit in Mel Slaterβs lab and labs that happen to be collaborating with Quebec academics.

Is it me or does this all just read like bad time travel fiction
I just received a review that was really really mean but had a great info in it about how to improve my paper. Itβs really hard to keep going back to that review to pull the important insights when I have to read between the lines. Itβs an interesting dichotomy that academia can be so (un)helpful.

11.12.2025 20:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Got a paper reject where reviewer 1 said I overlooked a chapter in a handbook I shouldβve included, and when I went to get the book from my uni library, the librarian told me not a single library in the entirety of Canada has this ($200) book. Kinda betrays anonymity/definition of expertise.

08.12.2025 00:35 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0This sounds like reasonable security. What if you registered for an account and then immediately had your laptop stolen by a bicycle thief or nefarious mind who then wanted to submit a bad letter in a .doc format. Theyβre really keeping you and your student safe is what this says.
