I've done the brewery in a bag thing once or twice and enjoyed the result but in terms of doing it right, yeah you're spot on.

Espresso: incredible if you like coffee flavored coffee. Really gets interesting if you roast your own beans, which can be as easy or as hard as you want.

Growing your own peppers: no not worth it

Salsa: this is the single best reason to grow tomatoes. Way better than you can buy.

Bread: a breadmaker is exactly as easy as it can possibly be. The bread is ok. It demands a ton of butter before it gets good. Worth it if you need bread tomorrow and have all the stuff at hand.

Guacamole: yes, a million times better than store bought. I have an avocado tree and the peak season is right now- like right this second. So I'll be having a bowl of guac for dinner more than a few nights this month.

Tomato sauce: so far, it's decent but man Rao's is good as hell you know? Needs more work, and a lot more cooking time to get right.

Mayo/aioli: easy, makes incredible sandwiches, but feels like a waste because I can only manage to use like 10% of what I made. I will never eat it with a spoon like the youtubers do, sorry.
