I could watch this every day.
The opening credits of Starfleet Academy, with the ‘Skip Credits’ button showing even though we’re a long way through the sequence.
Why on Earth does the ‘skip credits’ button on Paramount Plus stay all the way through the bloody opening sequence? If I haven’t pressed it 90 seconds in, I’m probably good. And would probably prefer the credits without a bleeding button obscuring them.

This isn’t the worst thing about Trump by quite some margin but… he’s a fucking coward, right? Always hiding behind weasely little half-ass excuses. ‘Lot of people saying…’ ‘…an intent posted it…’
Say it or don’t say it. Ideally the latter.
A poem, about today. Or yesterday, maybe?

Head now buzzing with the notion of James-from-Traitors as the Doctor.
Constant wide eyed wonder and confusion. Most episodes end with everyone dead and him saying “Well that didn’t really go as well as I expected.”
“Doctor Who is trying to work out what is going on. There's clearly some nefarious alien skullduggery afoot. He engages his usual response, which is to say, "Ahhhhhh” for as long as he can manage, in the hope that a clue will arrive before he passes out.”

“This week’s villain is called Bennet. He never gets out of bed, and says he's too poorly and that Vicki has to do everything. Barbara nods understandingly, thinking, "We've got a bloke just like this in our spaceship."”

29.01.2026 20:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Thin Ice is Doctor Who at its best. It looks great, there’s a hissable villain and there’s a real sense of who the Doctor essentially *is*. And Bill… good grief Bill is wonderful.

That'd be great. Let's get into February and make a plan. Right now, hunkering down and hiding are my main plans. :-)
25.01.2026 12:36 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I'm in a similar place with writing. Very hard to get going at the moment. I'm telling myself that January sucks, and I'm allowed to be kind to myself this month.

I also like 'moptivation' though I suspect I may be disappointed and find it's a typo...
James alone makes me feel like there’s joy and hope in the world. Tom Basden to play him in the film.
