As I'm going away for a quick trip, I'm having two of my advent calendar whiskeys tonight. The second one is a pleasant scotch. A bit of toffee on the nose, sweet palate, with a bit of pepper.

I had a nice Japanese whisky tonight. Herbal nose, with a sweet palate.

Tonight, my advent calender has given me a nice bourbon. A bit of butter on the nose, with a bit of butterscotch on the palate.

Tonight is a 5yo scotch. Apple and caramel on the nose. Ripe fruit and more caramel on the palate. Quite nice!

Tonight's whiskey from the advent calendar is a rye. Lots of wood on the nose. Nice notes of vanilla on the palate

And for tonight, I have a tasting of a 12yo scotch. Has a peaty nose, a much smoother finish than expected

I spent the night out of town so I'm a day behind my advent calendar. Last night's whiskey has notes of creme brulee on the nose. Very smooth taste

Tonight, I have some Australian whisky from Starward. Apple and vanilla on the nose, with some spice on the palate.

I have access to it. Fox will be showing every game. I'm just choosing not too.

It's just down the road from me too. We actually considered going to Canada to watch some games there instead of here. I'm just not interested in watching it at all now.

I didn't watch the last World Cup as my own personal protest to the whitewashing of Qatar's human rights. It's really sad I'll be doing that again for this coming World Cup when it's hosted in my own country.

Today's whiskey is a nice twist. I've had Woodford many times, but never their Rye. I still prefer the bourbon, but the Rye is still very pleasant.

Next up on my advent calendar is Nikka Days. Notes of apple on the nose and palate. Very smooth.
